After a debilitating illness that spanned over half his 87 years, on January 15, 2020, Marvin Nyborg left his battle-worn vessel behind. Born on a farm in Saskatchewan in 1933, Marv developed a passion to make the land more fertile, for everyone’s benefit. This passion drove him and shaped his life, culminating in his position of Professor Emeritus in soil science at the University of Alberta. He was predeceased by his devoted wife, Helene; and survived by his brother, Erling and daughter, Ingrid.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church, 8405 83 Street, Edmonton. To send condolences, please visit www.connelly-mckinley.com.
