This week we recap the accolades and achievements from the month of August, including the winner of the first ever Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour Award, a multi-million dollar grant to improve sustainability, and more!
Congratulations to the following:
- David Evans - received Gertrude Elion Memorial Award from the International Society of Antiviral Research.
- Dev Jennings - won the Best Book Award for her book "Re-engaging with Sustainability in the Anthropocene Era" from the Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Boston.
- Jamie Hudson - won the Academy of Spinal Cord Injury Professionals ECATS Interdisciplinary Champion Student Scholar Award.
- Kajsa Duke - received the inaugural Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour Award.
- Kurt Konhauser - named a fellow of the American Geophysical Union.
- Marilyn Dumont - won the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta Distinguished Artist Award.
- Royston Greenwood - received the Best Article Award for his paper "Organizing Refugee Camps: "'Respected Space' and 'Listening Posts" from the Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Boston.
- Sadok El Ghoul - won the Best Paper Award from the Frontiers of Business Research in China International Conference for his paper "Corporate Governance and Tax Avoidance: Evidence from U.S. Cross-Listing."
- Tima Bansal and Joel Gehman - received 2.5 million dollar grant fron the Government of Canada to help companies connect innovation with sustainability.
