A steady beat, shuffle of feet, and chorus of voices are set to fill the Main Gym this Saturday when the annual University of Alberta Round Dance returns to North Campus. Here's a look back at last year's gathering, and a preview of what to expect when the community comes together again:
The 2019 University of Alberta Round Dance is set to start at 7 p.m. on Saturday, January 26 in the Main Gym of the Van Vliet.
Bringing together children, friends, families, youth and Elders of our community, the Round Dance is a time to share stories, catch up on news, break bannock, and share some tea. It is a time to honour traditions and memories of our ancestors. Everyone is welcome!
