We are pleased to announce that Wayne Patterson has been appointed to the position of Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President (Human Resources) with unanimous support from the selection panel.
Wayne joined the University of Alberta in January 2010 as Director, HR Operations, having previously dedicated almost twenty years to a career in human resources, mostly within the post-secondary sector. He has since progressed into more responsible roles, serving as Executive Director (Human Resources) since 2014 and Acting Associate Vice-President (Human Resources) since July 2016.
Throughout his years of service to the university, Wayne has been accountable for several significant accomplishments that have enhanced the delivery of HR programs and services, reduced institutional HR risks, increased the university’s leadership competency and ensured compliance with legislative requirements.
