Undergraduate Programs

Our programs equip you with the analytical, research and communication skills that employers value. You will learn how to approach societal challenges from various angles, to ask and answer complex questions, and to work collaboratively, creatively and professionally. An undergraduate degree in sociology or criminology can help you direct your talents, ambition and energy to make a positive difference in the world.

Graduate Programs

Studying sociology at the graduate level offers new opportunities to explore the social dimensions of our world, to investigate pressing social issues, and to develop important research skills. Admission into our program is highly competitive, drawing in students from across Canada and internationally. As a graduate student, you have access to funding support in the form of research and teaching assistantships as well as scholarships from a variety of sources.

Certificates

The Certificate in Applied Social Science Research (CASSR) develops students' research skills in the social sciences through a combination of course work and experiential learning. Completion of the Certificate provides students with marketable skills and experiences in applied social research and strong preparation for graduate study in the social sciences or other employment pathways.
