Recognizing our 2023-24 partnership funding recipients

Lauren Bannon - 31 May 2024

In an announcement this week, Canada’s Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) revealed the winning recipients of the 2023-24 Partnership Development Grant and Partnership Grant competitions. The College of Social Sciences and Humanities is pleased to learn that 14 of its faculty members are involved in six projects that received funding.

“We are fortunate to have so many faculty who continue to make the effort to reach out beyond the university, and build collaborative networks with community organizations, that enhance both the research outcomes and the provision of vital training opportunities for students,” says Joanna Harrington, associate dean research for the college. “The value attached to faculty working with faculty at other institutions, and with organizations in the private, public and non-profit sectors, is reflected in the extent of partnership funding provided by SSHRC.”
