Position openings: Part-time instructors wanted

Applications are open for part-time instructors for the upcoming fall semester (September to December 2024) — and beyond. We are looking for licensed dentists who may want to work part-time at the School of Dentistry Oral Health Clinic.

You will be part of a team responsible for providing meaningful and motivating learning experiences for our students that encourage discovery and citizenship. You will:

• Supervise students performing clinic procedures on patients.
• Ensure the safety of patients and students by ensuring the quality of care and confidentiality of information is upheld.
• Provide expertise and advice on treatment options and modalities.
• Assess student performance in the following four categories: applied knowledge, delivery of procedures, management/professional demeanour and infection control.
• Mentor professional behaviour; interactions with patients, support staff, colleagues and students in the clinic.
• Demonstrate clinical procedures.

Applicants should be:

• Licensed and in good standing with their regulatory body
• Experienced in clinical practice
• Available part-time during School of Dentistry Oral Health Clinic business hours (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
