UPDATE - December 21, 2021
21 December 2021
It’s been our pleasure to support your sport, recreation and wellness needs throughout this challenging time. Thank you for your continued support and patience!
As we move into 2022, we would like to remind you of the University of Alberta policies associated with facility access.
Youth/Adults 12+ years
The University of Alberta requires all youth and adults (12 and older) to produce a proof of vaccination (14 days past the 2nd dose) for facility and program access on both North and South campuses.
Exemptions
The university recognizes some visitors may require exemptions based on protected grounds set out in the Alberta Human Rights Act. Applications for visitor exemptions must be made as soon as possible, but in most cases must be made at least 14 days prior to access the event, service, or facility on campus.
QR Codes/CampusReady Pass
At this time, QR codes and CampusReady passes will be the only acceptable proof of vaccination to access University of Alberta facilities and programs.
QR codes can be downloaded, printed, or saved as a screenshot. Download here.
University of Alberta visitors may apply for a CampusReady pass.
We advise all clients to carry a copy of your MyHealthRecords COVID-19 vaccination record as a backup to your QR code. It is also advisable to carry your formal original letter of exemption.
Zero Tolerance Policy
We thank the thousands of visitors who have utilized our facilities and services and treated our frontline staff with respect and courtesy! We do recognize this is a stressful time for all clients; however, we will not accept abusive or aggressive behavior and language towards our staff. We seek to provide a safe environment for all in our community, and we will take steps (up to and including permanent removal) to curb behavior and language that presents a threatening environment.
Thank you again for your support!
Season’s Greetings!
