What initially drew you to pharmacy?

I was drawn to pharmacy as it integrates my passion for chemistry and health care with my desire to help serve my community

What achievement, accomplishment or moment are you most proud of from your time in the program?

During one of my fourth-year rotations, one of the patients I had been following closely took my hand prior to their hospital discharge and thanked me for all of the help I had offered them. That moment made me realize my work matters and made me proud to be in pharmacy.

What advice would you give to a student thinking of entering the PharmD progam?

You matter and your work matters. You will be working in a specialized role in health care and you have the unique opportunity to be intimately involved in a patient’s medical care. Don't underestimate that.

What have you learned about yourself, and how will you use this going forward?

I've learned that I am resilient and adaptable. These past four years were tough, but I learned that I can do it!

What comes next for you in your career/academic journey?

I'm giving back to my community as a relief pharmacist in Calgary and surrounding areas.
