Kelsey Therrien

Doctor of Pharmacy, PharmD

Kelsey’s passion for pharmacy began in the ninth grade when she volunteered in a pharmacy at the local grocery store she was working in at the time. She knew then that she wanted to become a pharmacist to improve the health and access to care.

Kelsey is a proud cofounder of the Pharmacy Students for Mental Health Group through the Alberta Pharmacy Students' Association as mental health is another of her passions.

She also values the importance of self-care when it comes to caring for patients. “If you do not take care of yourself, it will take a toll on your care for patients as well! Going forward, I will continue to practice self-care measures so that I can be the best possible pharmacist for my patients!”

Despite the challenges of beginning the program online and the constant changes that came with hybrid study later Kelsey stayed motivated through the continuous support from her husband, family, friends, preceptors, and pharmacy coworkers!

Kelsey will continue to work as a pharmacist with future plans to own her own store.
