University of Alberta Departments of Music and Political Science Join Forces to Benefit Haiti

On the evening of January 12, 2010, the world learned Haiti was devastated by the impact of a 7.0 magnitude earthquake, which was followed by over three dozen aftershocks in the week following. Since then, we have been moved by the unimaginable number of deaths, casualties and ongoing human suffering.

On Wednesday February 10th at 7:30pm, the Departments of Music and Political Science will host a Haiti Benefit Concert at Convocation Hall, Old Arts Building, University of Alberta in an effort to assist in the Haitian relief efforts. Tickets are $10, with all proceeds going to the Red Cross. Larger donations are encouraged and welcomed. The Red Cross will issue receipts for tax purposes.
