Sumiyyah lived in and travelled to a few different places growing up. She really enjoyed exploring new cultures and foods, which led to an interest in tourism. Over the years her interest shifted to recreation and then to parks and green spaces.
Sumiyyah’s advice for future students is, “Use your first year to explore your interests and be open to new possibilities. This degree encompasses so many different fields.”
Sumiyyah is currently working remotely at a marketing agency in Newfoundland and Labrador, the same agency she interned with last semester.
