Carminda Goersch Lamboglia

Doctor of Philosophy, Faculty of Kinesiology, Sport, and Recreation

At the beginning of her program, Carminda had the opportunity to work on a project in the Northwest Territories to assess physical literacy in children between eight and 12 years old living in isolated communities. She had the chance to learn about the cultures of those children and to get to know their communities.

Carminda studied human behaviour, how people engage in physical activity and even how they may adopt sedentary behaviours.

Carminda's advice for prospective students:
"Believe in yourself! Things may look scary and challenging, but your self-belief and determination can help you overcome any obstacles that come your way."
