We invite you to register for the third talk of the Pushing the Boundaries of Qualitative Inquiry virtual speaker series: "Futures Ethnography," presented by Dr. Sarah PinkThe session will be hosted and moderated by Justine Kohleal (Curator and PhD Student, Art & Design).
In this talk, Dr. Pink introduces Futures Ethnography: ethnographic practice that is focused on investigating everyday experiences, imaginaries and visions of possible futures. She argues that establishing a futures ethnographic practice is vital if we are to address the questions of our times. Dr. Pink focuses on experimental, design and creative practice methods as modes of engaging with dominant narratives, participants in research, and academic and non-academic audiences. She discusses and demonstrates a selection of futures ethnography methods developed across recent projects, bringing to the fore the role of sensory, visual and documentary practice in this methodological field.
