Michael Cacoyannis's faithful adaptation (1971) of Euripides' masterpiece, Trojan Women, follows the fate of the women and children of Troy in the immediate aftermath of the fall of Troy. Starring Katherine Hepburn (Hecuba), Vanessa Redgrave (Andromache), Genevieve Bujold (Cassandra) and Irene Papas (Helen of Troy).
