Philipp André Maas is Assistant Professor at the Department of South Asian, Tibetan and Buddhist Studies at the University of Vienna, Austria. Besides being interested in Sanskrit textual criticism and editorial technique, he works on the history of premodern South Asian philosophy and religion, with a special emphasis on classical Yoga and early Ayurveda. He has published extensively on Yoga epistemology, meditation, and the conceptual relationship of classical Yoga to Ayurveda. Most recently, he developed Sanskrit narrative literature and its relationship to social and religious norms as new field of research. 2 March 2016 3:30pm Tory 2-58
