Eligibility
- Superior Academic Merit
- Nominee must be entering a graduate degree program
- Nominee's area of research must be related to engineering and the physical sciences
- Awarded on the basis of superior academic merit
- Women
- There is a dearth of women engaging in scientific and technological graduate studies, for this reason this scholarship will be given to women until such time as this disadvantage is overcome
- If no suitable nominee is found at the time of selection, the scholarship will not be awarded in that year
- Open to Canadian citizens.
- Open to permanent residents.
- Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
- Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
- Open to applicants in masters programs.
- Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
- Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.
How to apply
By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty) and will be part of a competitive adjudication. The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
