Eligibility

  • Satisfactory Academic Achievement
  • Nominee is a graduate student in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry
  • Nominee is studying and researching early detection of ovarian cancer
  • Nominee will be selected on the basis of satisfactory academic achievement
  • Nominee will be selected on the basis of research abilities
  • Nominee will be selected on the basis of their contribution to ovarian cancer-related research
  • Preference will be given to a nominee with a focus on early detection of ovarian cancer
  • Should a cure for ovarian cancer be discovered, this award will support a nominee whose research focuses on treatment or prevention of related women's cancer
  • Open to Canadian citizens.
  • Open to permanent residents.
  • Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
  • Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
  • Open to applicants in masters programs.
  • Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
  • Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty) and will be part of a competitive adjudication. The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
