Eligibility
- Open to full time registered students only
- Satisfactory academic standing
- Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences
- Student must be in the first or second year of a graduate degree program
- Nominee's research must focus on cereal grains
- Selection based on academic achievement
- Preference given to students whose research focuses on barley and malting barley production agronomy
- This award can be given out as 2 x $10,500 or 4 x $5,250. Please inform GPS in advance of the Faculty's decision regarding number of awards.
- Open to Canadian citizens.
- Open to permanent residents.
- Open to foreign nationals holding Canadian study permits.
- Open to applicants in doctoral programs.
- Open to applicants in masters programs.
- Open to applicants in course-based study programs.
- Open to applicants in thesis-based study programs.

By nomination only. Students should contact their department for details on their application process. Nominations are submitted to GPS by the Department (or Faculty). The Graduate Scholarship Committee makes the final decision.
