The Arctic is under the global spotlight due to challenges like climate change, resource development, and international cooperation and security concerns. Now more than ever, there is a sharper focus on the future of the North.

Join Mark Nuttall, Professor and Henry Marshall Tory Chair of Anthropology at the University of Alberta, as he shares insights from his research in Greenland and Canada’s North. Explore how conservation, environmental protection, governance, and the incorporation of local and Indigenous viewpoints are collectively influencing the trajectory of Arctic futures.

This event is open to all alumni and their guests.

Space is limited. Registration will close when the event reaches capacity, or on Oct. 30, 2023.
