Discovering Ancient Secret Gospels

In 1945, near the Egyptian town of Nag Hammadi, a farmer discovered a collection of ancient texts that are fundamentally altering our knowledge of Christian history. In this talk, Dr. Pagels will discuss how several of those texts—the Gospel of Thomas, Gospel of Mary Magdalene, and Gospel of Truth—are transforming what we know about Jesus' message, and how Christianity began.
