You are invited to join Bill Flanagan, President and Vice Chancellor, and Cam Linke, CEO of the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (AMII), at a University of Alberta brunch to learn about the future of artificial intelligence (AI) being advanced by the University of Alberta. Hear U of A researcher Rich Sutton, pioneer of the field of Reinforcement Learning, Fellow of the Royal Society, and Amii's Chief Scientific Advisor speak on the 'Alberta Plan for AI' and his upcoming research projects.

About Rich Sutton

Rich Sutton is an Associate Fellow Canada CIFAR AI Chair, Chief Scientific Advisor at Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (Amii), and a professor of computing science at the University of Alberta. He is considered one of the founders of modern computational reinforcement learning, having several significant contributions to the field, including temporal difference learning and policy gradient methods.

This event is open to all alumni, donors, friends of the university, and their guests.
