Author Talk: In Conversation with Giller Prize Recipient Suzette Mayr

Join us for an evening with celebrated U of A alumna and author Suzette Mayr, '92 MA. Suzette’s most recent novel, The Sleeping Car Porter, was the winner of the 2022 Scotiabank Giller Prize. It was the first LGBTQ-themed novel to ever win the Giller Prize and Mayr is also the first LGBTQ-identified writer to win. Suzette will be accompanied by Department of English and Film Studies Assistant Lecturer Garrett L. Faulkner for a conversation covering a wide range of literary topics.
