Hiring announcement: AVP, Human Resources, Health, Safety and Environment

We are pleased to announce that Tanya Wick has been selected as the new Associate Vice-President of Human Resources, Health, Safety and Environment, starting June 14. With more than 20 years of success, Tanya’s experience spans human resources, procurement, administration, payroll, and communications in critical roles such as Vice President of Corporate Services and Vice President of Human Resources. In her previous role at Tolko Industries, Tanya partnered with executive leadership and the board of directors to shape and execute the organization’s strategic direction, delivering expertise in HR and corporate services. 

Tanya has broken down barriers and achieved numerous awards and recognitions, including recently receiving the 2021 HR Professional of the Year Award by the Chartered Professionals in Human Resources of British Columbia and Yukon. Her broad skill set and years of experience leveraging HR metrics to influence corporate decisions and manage critical change, will be a great addition to the university.
