Hiring announcement: Director, Resource Planning

We are pleased to announce that after a lengthy recruitment process, Kemi Kufuor-Boakye will be joining Finance, Procurement & Planning as the new Director, Resource Planning effective November 29, 2021.  In her new role, Kemi will be accountable for the unit that provides planning and forecasting services to the entire university and is responsible for the coordination and development of the institution’s consolidated budget.  She will also play a key role in the development of a new budget model for the university going forward.

Kemi brings a wealth of experience to the position having worked in a number of key roles since joining the university in 2009.  She spent the first six years of her U of A career in Internal Audit Services before taking a secondment to the Office of the Dean of Students as its Senior Financial Officer (SFO).  She then spent four years as the SFO in Library and Museums before joining the Finance Partner network this past June as one of the Senior Finance Partners for the College of Health Sciences.

Prior to joining the U of A, Kemi worked at Deloitte Vancouver where she obtained her Chartered Accountant designation.  She is now a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and also holds a Certified Internal Auditor designation.
