Why study this program?
Finance is a broad area of study, and our program provides you with a solid foundation for a variety of business careers, including banking, investments and portfolio management, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, international finance, securities trading, and financial markets.
The Alberta School of Business is one of a select group of global institutions with a verified curriculum containing at least 70% of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Level 1 curriculum, meaning our program is closely tied to professional practice and is well suited to preparing you for the CFA exams.
The BCom Honors in Finance is designed for Finance majors who want to build a deeper expertise in finance. As it is intended for those targeting positions that require higher-level business skills, the Honors Program demands strong performance and solid motivation. Students in the program can choose to follow one of two streams: Private Venture Markets (PVM) or the Trading, Risk Analytics, and Digital Finance (TRADF).

The primary language of instruction in our classes, with the exception of those at the Faculté Saint-Jean, is English.
