Why study this program?
Accounting is the practice of gathering, analyzing, and communicating financial information, and is a crucial aspect of every business and organization. Anyone who wants to be successful in business must have a strong understanding of “the numbers", so whether you are interested in accounting specifically, or financial management in general, you should consider the Accounting major.
To pursue a career in accounting, you can follow your BCom degree with a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) certification.

Because the U of A wants you to succeed, our admissions policy ensures that all students, regardless of citizenship, have the language skills they need to understand, participate and learn in our classes. The primary language of instruction in our classes, with the exception of those at the Faculté Saint-Jean, is English.
