On November 1, 2021, the full implementation of the U of A’s vaccination directive will take effect on our campuses. While a few key measures will change, some things will remain the same. As has been the case throughout the pandemic, the safety of our community remains a shared responsibility.
Here are 5 steps you can take to prepare for November 1 and help keep our community safe:
Get Vaccinated
If you haven’t yet received both vaccine doses, you can schedule an appointment at the University Health Centre or the UHC pharmacy. Getting vaccinated remains the best way that we can all protect our university community. October 18 is the last day to receive a second dose in time to be considered fully vaccinated by November 1 and not miss any in-person or on-campus activities.
Keep Yourself Updated
The U of A’s COVID-19 information hub remains your best source of information for public health measures on campus. You can also stay up to date by regularly reading the COVID-19 digest and reviewing the Vaccination Directive.
Model Behaviour
Model the behaviour you’d like others to follow: wear your mask properly, respect the personal space of others, follow public health measures and stay home when you feel unwell.

Tips for COVID-19 Safety Conversations

Get Your CampusReady Pass
All U of A students, faculty and staff members are expected to have a CampusReady pass while on campus. Save a copy of your pass (which you will receive by email), print it off, or take a screenshot of it so that your pass is readily accessible if you’re asked to share it.
You may be asked to share your pass when entering service spaces, recreational spaces, and/or events. Supervisors and other university service staff may also ask to see your pass. Regular pass checking will take full effect on November 1.
