What is your first U of A memory?

My first memory is being at the Myer Horowitz Theatre with my dance class when I was about 6 years old.

What’s something your coworkers don’t know about you?

I sometimes eat breakfast cereal for dinner.

What isyour favourite distraction?

Flipping through cookbooks.

If you were enrolling in one course, program or degree right now, what would it be?

Political Science.

What’s a weird pet peeve you have?

I don’t know if it’s weird but I don’t like cupboards, closet doors, or drawers to be left open.

You can invite anyone — alive or dead, real or fictional — to dinner. Who would it be?

James Corden. Entertainment and laughter are important right now and I think he would bring both.

If you could see any live performance tomorrow, what would it be?

I would love to see anything live tomorrow!

What advice would you give your 18-year-old self?

Make a plan but remember that it’s flexible. And take some risks.

What’s one thing you can’t live without?

Sunshine.

What three words describe your U of A experience?

Inspiring, challenging, fulfilling.

Gail was born and raised in the Edmonton area and she graduated from the U of A with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She is a certified project manager who loves the excitement and challenge of project work. Prior to joining the U of A’s IST department in 2015, Gail worked in the healthcare sector leading national initiatives that included software development, process improvement, and consolidation of services.
