If you've ventured to the east side of the Humanities Building lately, you may have noticed the interesting new machinery pictured above. Looks a bit like gym equipment from the future designed by a minimalist, right?
Not far off!
A part of the U of A's Healthy University Strategic Plan, this new gym park has been in the works for the past two years. The space represents a joint initiative between our Healthy Campus Unit, Campus & Community Recreation, and Facilities and Operations.
And yes: it's available all year round.

The gym is open to all, and can be accessed 24/7 with no cost. Campus & Community Recreation will also be offering fitness programs using the equipment to U of A staff, students, and community members.
