This week we recap accolades and achievements including the winners of the KSR Faculty Awards, finalists from the Falling Walls Competition, and more!
Congratulations to the following:
- Amber Mosewich - received the Faculty Award for Early Career Undergraduate Teaching.
- An Nguyen - received the Best Long Oral Presentation Award at the KSR Graduate Research Conference for her presentation "A sharing of history and reflections on Vietnamese settler colonialism".
- Bandita Deka Kalita - finalist in the Falling Walls Competition for her paper "Breaking the Wall of Inactive Energy Facilities".
- Craig Steinback - received the Faculty Award for Early Career Research.
- Greg Lembke - received the Academic Professional Officer and Faculty Services Officer Recognition Award.
- Joel Gehman and Vern Glaser - received the Most Cited Paper accolade for their paper "Finding Theory-Method Fit"Most Cited Paper accolade for their paper "Finding Theory-Method Fit".
- John Dunn - received the Faculty Award for Undergraduate Teaching.
- Joseph Doucet - named board chair of the Edmonton Economic Development Corporation.
- Jim Denison - received the Faculty Award for Graduate Teaching.
- Kathy Pham - finished first place in the Intuit Global Innovation Challenge.
- Katie Davies - received the Faculty Award for Sessional Teaching.
- Kerry Courneya - received the Faculty Award for Research.
- Kim Curtin - received NIRSA Research Grant for the PAWS for Wellness program.
- Len Vickery - received the Clare Drake University of Alberta Coach of the Year Award.
- Marina Leyderman - received the Support Staff Recognition Award.
- Naomi K. Lewis - shortlisted for the Governor General's Literary Award for her book Tiny Lights for TravellersTiny Lights for Travellers, published by the University of Alberta Press.
- Nicole Sanchez - finalist in the Falling Walls Competition for her paper "Breaking the Wall of Inactive Energy Facilities".
