- Armann Ingolfsson - received NSERC Discovery Grant.
- Bernadette McMechan -won Law Society of Alberta President's Award.
- Brian Sykes and John England (professor emeritus)- named to the Order of Canada.
- Carla Prado - recognized in Canada's Top 40 Under 40.
- Clayton Deutsch, Hongbo Zeng, and Ying-Hei Chui -inducted into the Canadian Academy of Engineering.
- Dave Collins - received NSERC Discovery Grant for the topic of Multisensory Integration in Kinesthesia.
- Gina Murray - earned a clerkship with the Supreme Court of Canada.
- Guozhong Zhu - received Support for the Advancement of Scholarship Award for his work on Inter-city Migration and Housing Price Distribution.
- Ilbin Lee - received NSERC Discovery Launch Supplement of $12500.
- Karin Olson - inducted to the American Academy of Nursing Fellows.
- Katie Boisvert - won Governor General's Silver Medal.
- Loren Chiu - received Senior Investigator Grant from the national Strength and Conditioning Association.
- Margie Davenport - received NSERC Discovery and Launch Grant & WCHRI 2019 Innovation Grant.
- Marnie Colborne - received Alberta Alumni Horizon Award for her work with Youthnited Nations, an initiative to build international healthcare clinics in a sustainable way.
- Natasha Lifeso -received Dean's Gold Medal.
- Neelam Punjani - received Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Scholarship.
- New Trail Magazine - won bronze CASE Circle of Excellence Award in General Interest Magazines.
- Philip Currie - inducted to the City of Edmonton Hall of Fame.
- Rasmus Fatum - won MBA Teaching Award.
- Ray Hagtvedt - won MacKenzie Teaching Award.
- Robert Burrell - named to the Alberta Order of Excellence.
- Sahil Raina and Mark Huson - received Support for the Advancement of Scholarship Award for their work on Gender and Tournaments: Response to Competitive Incentives in the Mutual Funds Industry.
- Scott Wilson - won the Governor General's Silver Medal and the CD Howe Memorial Fellowship.
- School of Business Enactus Team - won the national championship in youth empowerment at the Enactus Canada National Exposition.
- Shruthi Budnar Subramanya - finished second place at the National Three Minute Thesis Competition.
- South Campus Operations and Events Crew - won Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance Canadian Sport Event of the Year Award.
- Tamara Buckwold - received Distinguished Service Award for Legal Scholarship from the Canadian Bar Association Alberta branch and the Law Society of Alberta.
- Taylor Thiesen - received the Horace Harvey Medal in Law.
- U of A Folio News - won silver CASE Circle of Excellence Award in News Writing.
- Vern Glaser and Joel Gehman - received Support for the Advancement of Scholarship Award for their work on Cultural Strategy: Theorizing the Creation of Value-Added Industries.
