From embracing the contrast of our light and dark winter season, to finding warm occasions to gather, here’s a look back at January 2018:
January 2018 began with a new series on the U of A’s Instagram — UALBERTA NOIR. Black and white photos of campus were posted every day for the month of January, and included images that were submitted by the community using the hashtag #UAlbertaNoir.

The Pandas Hockey team hosted the University of Alberta’s Bell Lets Talk game on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the Clare Drake Arena. The game was part of a conference-wide initiative, with all 17 schools participating. The Pandas and the Lethbridge Pronghorns sported their Bell Lets Talk Blue touques during the match.

Influenced by her mother’s battle with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Marino’s artwork portrays the fear of death, decay and the passage of time as impacted by MS.Members of the student group JD West celebrate this year’s United Way fundraising efforts, which saw the U of A community raise a total of $691,064 for those in need of community supports.
