Faculty of Arts
- The Faculty of Arts warmly invites you to attend our blanket exercise on Friday, September 29 between 1:00-3:00 p.m. MT at the Second Playing Space, located in Timms Centre for the Arts. A blanket exercise is an imaginative, thought-provoking and interactive experience that transports participants back in time, allowing them to engage intellectually and emotionally with the Indigenous experience of colonization.This inclusive event is open to all Faculty of Arts students, staff, instructors, and their loved ones. Faculty of Education
- The Fyrefly Institute for Gender and Sexual Diversity invites you to an Orange Shirt Day reflection and pledge-making event on September 29th in the Education North main floor hallway. Drop in between 11:30 and 2:30 to join us in discussing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action and take time to consider your personal commitments to Reconciliation. We will be decorating paper orange shirts with our pledges to build a collage of our campus’s collective commitments.
- The Centre for Research for Teacher Education and Development presents Reflections on Reconciliation with Indigenous educator, community leader and advocate Lewis Cardinal, Friday, Sept. 29 at noon in 633 Education South.
Faculty of Law
- Kathleen Makela, Indigenous Support Office, will be leading a Smudge in front of the Law Centre on the morning of Friday, September 29.
