
The Canadian Mountain Network is working with partners in communities, government, universities, businesses, and First Nations. to understand, manage and honour our mountains.
For the first time ever, Canada will recognize the United Nations' International Mountain Day on Sunday, December 11 with a week-long festival taking place at the University of Alberta.
The Canadian Mountain Network is hosting the first annual Mountain Festival-a celebration of the rich cultures and unique environments found in mountain landscapes-from Friday, December 9 to Thursday, December 16.
The festival will encompass and celebrate all aspects of mountain life, from biodiversity to indigenous experience and visual art to sport and recreation.
