Dr. Andie Palmer

Interim Director of the Kule Folklore Centre

The Kule Folklore Centre welcomes Dr. Andie Palmer as the Interim Director of the Centre. Dr. Palmer is an associate professor in the Department of Anthropology in the UofA. Faculty of Arts.

She is a linguistic and legal anthropologist, documenting verbal art, performance, and narratives of place, as well as the negotiation of linguistic and cultural difference in courts, tribunals, and other court-like settings, with a particular focus on the interpretation of treaties and oral history testimony.
