Wadym Dobrolige (Вадим Доброліж, 1913-1973) worked in Western Canada during the 1950s and 60s. The artist is celebrated not only for his development of visual identity and enrichment of Ukrainian diasporic painting but also for his contributions to the visual shaping and enhancement of urban and rural spaces, as well as the interiors of numerous cultural and artistic venues across Western Canada, from Vegreville to Banff.
