Karen Slevinsky, President of the Alberta Mycological Society will share stories with us from her Ukrainian heritage about what to forage, when and how to forage - with a specific focus on local wild mushrooms.

Family Photo Scan-a-thon
Bring a handful of photos and join our archivist, Nataliia Yesepenko, for a fun morning session of scanning and filing as we learn how to preserve our family heirlooms.

Part 1 - Handling Textiles
Join Nataliia Yesepenko to learn how to handle and store embroidered and woven textiles. Bring one item for assessment. Limit of 10 participants.

Part 2 - Recording Family Stories
Join Larisa Sembaliuk Cheladyn for a hands-on session on how to use your cell-phone to record and store family stories. Limit of 10 participants.

Elaine Kalynchuk is the coordinator of the Trace Your Roots – Ukrainian Canadian Genealogy Project. Join her to learn how you can start your search for family ties in Canada and Ukraine. Limit of 15.
