September 6-8, the Kule Folklore Centre participated in the Montreal Ukrainian Festival with the exhibit Ukrainian Dance - From Village to Stage. The festival is the largest and most significant event for the Ukrainian community in Montreal and attracts thousands of visitors.
Dr. Nahachewsky got a chance to meet with Jason Kenney, Canada's Minister of Employment and Social Development and Minister for Multiculturalism. He showed Mr. Kenney our exhibit and spoke to him about Ukrainian folklore and our Kule Folklore Centre in the Faculty of Arts, Department of Modern Languages and Cultural Studies.
