Course 2: Introduction to Intersectional Qualitative Health Research

This module is for persons who are curious about how intersectionality can be used in health equity and qualitative health research. After completing this module, you will be able to identify why intersectionality is important for health equity, explain what intersectional qualitative health research is, and ask good questions about intersectionality in qualitative health research

See below for how to enroll.

Intersectionality focuses on how social categories of power—such as sexism, racism, and ableism—overlap in systemic ways to shape experiences and inequities.

Intersectionality is a powerful theoretical lens and methodological approach.
These courses are a collaboration of the Institute for Intersectionality Studies and the International Institute for Qualitative Methodology at UAlberta.
