Issues Management + Strategic Initiatives

The Issues Management and Strategic Initiatives team is an agile action and support group that works closely with university leaders and internal and external partners on behalf of the  Office of the Vice-President (External Relations). We are a U of A  Centre of Expertise.

What We Do

• Provide guidance and advice on comprehensive stakeholder relations, issues management, and crisis and emergency communications.
• Develop and manage stakeholder relations and communications strategies for inter-departmental or university-wide priority initiatives.
• Manage institutional emergency and crisis communications response as needed on behalf of External Relations.
• Support the External Relations portfolio through business and operational continuity planning, news monitoring and information management.
