Is happiness something we can actively seek? Can it last, and do we have control over it?
This workshop delves into these fundamental questions, offering a fresh perspective on the intricate relationship between the mind and brain. We'll explore the mind as a dynamic system, constantly shaped by sensory experiences and mental processes spanning the present, past and future.
Drawing on insights from spiritual traditions and studies about happiness, this workshop will illuminate how these interconnected elements influence our experience of happiness.
U of A Buddhist Chaplain, Nandini Karunamuni, hosts this workshop based on a collaborative studies group in Australia. Attend to experience her time-tested wisdom and discover practical tools and techniques for cultivating lasting joy.
This event is organized by Days of Action as part of International Day of Happiness.
