Conceived by researchers at the Neuroscience and Mental Health Institute (NMHI) and the Faculty of Arts at the University of Alberta, the CONNECTIONS exhibit at the Royal Alberta Museum explores the relationship between art, neuroscience, brain diseases and mental health in a creative and captivating way.

The project highlights the intricate links among brain cells, the connections lost due to brain diseases and mental health disorders, and the hope for recovery. Artists, scientists and individuals with lived experience have all contributed artworks to this exhibit, blending creativity with scientific insight.

Starting November 21, 2024, you can view CONNECTIONS and purchase exclusive merchandise at the Royal Alberta Museum. A portion of all proceeds will support brain and mental health research at the University of Alberta.

A portion of all proceeds from the merchandise will support brain and mental health research at the University of Alberta.
