Welcome to the 2020 Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Western Regional Finals hosted by the University of Alberta!

About this Event

Welcome to the first ever digital Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Western Regional Finals! In the past, every host city has greeted each respected 3MT finalist in person. Due to COVID-19, this year's competition will be hosted and facilitated in an online format.

Although we are saddened to no longer engage with students in person, we can instead support a larger digital reach by encouraging online support through the People's Choice Award voting. This opportunity will be highlighted during our livestreaming event on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, beginning at 1:00 p.m MST.

During this event, we will announce the winners who will represent Western Canada for the 3MT National competition, including the winner of the People's Choice Award. It will look very similar to the University of Alberta 3MT Finals held in April this year. For more information, please visit: uab.ca/3MT
