Explore the histories, stories, and memories of Indigenous life at the Indigenous Peoples’ Experience (iyiniwak okiskêyihtamowiniwaw) in Fort Edmonton Park. The teachings in the exhibit have been passed through millennia. They reflect a rich and resilient people with deep connection to the land and seasons. Whether in Cree, Dene, Anishinaabe, Nakota, Blackfoot, or Michif, this shared knowledge is timeless. 

U of A alumni and their guests will enjoy private access to the exhibit, their choice of a guided or self-guided experience, preferred parking, the opportunity to shop the I AM Indigenous Market Collective, and light refreshments. We are offering staggered entry times to ensure small group sizes. Please ensure you select your preferred entry time when registering. 

This event is open to all alumni and their guests.

Space is limited. Registration will close when the event reaches capacity, or on January 18, 2024.

Times

Guided Experience: 11 a.m. (waitlist), 1 p.m. (waitlist), 3 p.m.
Self-guided Experience: 12 p.m., 2 p.m.

Cost

$20 - Guided Experience
$15 - Self-guided Experience
Free - Children under 2

Ticket price includes access to the exhibit, your choice of a guided or self-guided experience, preferred onsite parking, and tea and bannock.

Cancellation Policy: Any cancellations made by January 15 will receive a full refund. We will not be able to offer refunds for cancellations made after January 15. In the event that we have to cancel the event, all registered participants will receive a refund.
