Share Event

Sometimes, hearing from your peers on how they addressed challenges and accessed care for their mental health can encourage you to keep going and find new ways to care for yourself. It can also be a way for you to validate your experiences.

Hear from U of A students to learn how they care for their mental health. You will have a chance to connect with each other, share your experiences and reflect on what will be helpful for you. Topics include community-generated questions about mental health, different practices to care for it, what stigmatization looks like and how and when to ask for help.

Campus Saint-Jean will stream the panel discussion followed by a student conversation facilitated by Josee Outelette, Psychotherapist.

Refreshments included.

While this event is focused on students, staff and faculty are welcome to attend and hear students share their experiences to learn how to better support students on our campus.

This event is in conjunction with World Mental Health Day, observed internationally on October 10.

The Wellness Supports team at the Dean of Students works with partners from across campus on "Days of Action," providing information, engaging in discussion, and challenging stigma at the University of Alberta.
