Calgary Tasting & Tapas at Vin Room

Unwind with fellow alumni and friends for a delicious night of tapas and wine tasting at Vin Room West!

Owner Phoebe Fung, '91 BCom, will guide you through the pairings and share her journey from the oil and gas industry to opening Calgary's premier wine bar with over 100 wines by the glass.

Please note that the wine and tapas pairings are part of a fixed set menu and unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate dietary restrictions. By registering for this event, you acknowledge and accept these terms.

Speaker

Phoebe Fung is the founder of Vin Room, an upscale wine bar with three locations in Calgary. Phoebe has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and a MBA from Queens University. She spent 15 years in the oil and gas industry working in various roles such as resource management, strategic planning, acquisitions and divestments, and project management before starting Vin Room in 2008, out of a love for food and wine.

The Vin Room YYC Airport location won Best Airport Wine Bar at the 2019 Global Food and Beverage Awards and is one of the few independent restaurants in a Canadian airport.

Phoebe’s first passion is her four legged pooch, Dom, who is the driving force behind Vin Room being the first restaurant in Calgary to have dog friendly patios.
