Global Energy Systems Seminar Series
The complexity of our energy systems means that it touches all aspects of society, and energy transition is one of the greatest challenges facing our society today. We must examine energy through the lens of our changing, globalized world. That means weighing the implications of our current energy systems, understanding how they can be transitioned to new technologies, and exploring possibilities we can aspire to in the future.
The University of Alberta Energy Systems Signature Area (ESSA) and the Future Energy Systems (FES) research program are proud to present the Global Energy Systems Seminar Series, which unites the diverse, world-leading talent at Canada's leading energy research institution, with global expertise to provide valuable insights into energy today, tomorrow, and far into the future.
The Global Energy Systems Seminar Series will include both broad discussions and deep dives into energy topics, with sub-series providing a more thorough, rounded view of specific topics.
North American Energy Dialogue
The North American Energy Dialogue was our first mini-series, in partnership with the University of Texas at Austin, and the Tecnologico de Monterrey, examining energy in the North American context with discussions of the evolving nature of the energy interdependence between Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
