Alumni Relations at the University of Alberta hosts its Last Lecture Series to give students and former students an opportunity to celebrate the instructors who have made their UAlberta education unique and outstanding. It allows students to share their experience and appreciation for education quality. Two Economics instructors were nominated: Gordon Lee and Andrew Wong.
Gordon Lee's nominator said: "Gordon Lee is so worthy of the 'Last Lecture' because of his amazing talent of engaging almost all of the students in his class. He does this by telling funny stories that are quite relevant to the discussion at hand and his awesome improv skills. I usually feel the need to check my phone in most of my classes, but in his class, I never think about anything other than the class material. Lee also knows his economics very well and his notes are so thorough that usually no question is left unanswered."
The nominator for Andrew Wong said: "He's funny and motivates. Overall, I love his 8 am class - I actually look forward to it!"
