Get CampusReady
All U of A students, faculty and staff members are required to submit their proof of vaccination or exemption, and have their CampusReady pass readily available while on campus. Save a copy of your pass (which you will receive by email), print it off, or take a screenshot of it so that your pass is readily accessible if you’re asked to share it.
You may be asked to show your pass when entering service spaces, recreational spaces, and/or events. Regular pass checking will take full effect on November 1. A CampusReady Guide for Staff is now available.
5 things you can do to prepare for November 1
On November 1, 2021, the full implementation of the U of A’s vaccination directive will take effect on our campuses. Learn the steps you can take to prepare for November 1 and help keep our community safe.
Tips for COVID-19 safety conversations
The health and safety of our campus community is a shared responsibility. One of the ways we can keep each other safe is by knowing how to have healthy conversations about the actions that we can take to stay safe. It’s in working together that we can do this.
Check out these tips to keep in mind when having a conversation about COVID-19 safety actions and campus requirements by visiting the COVID-19 website.
COVID-19 cases on campus decreasing
Thanks to high vaccination rates in our community, indoor masking and other public health measures, we have seen a decrease in COVID-19 cases on our campuses. To keep our community informed, the U of A posts the number of on-campus community members who have reported a positive COVID-19 test during the semester. Learn more about COVID-19 case numbers and how the PHRT triage team provides support to students and employees.
Campus safety: A shared responsibility
The university requires all community members and visitors to know current campus safety protocols before coming to campus. Failure to follow safety protocols may put the university community at risk and can result in denied access to campus, removal from campus, and if repeated, possible expulsion or termination. Don’t put yourself or others at risk. Protect yourself, protect our community, and use the campus safety checklist regularly before visiting U of A campuses.
Off-campus outbreak update
All 59 COVID-19 positive cases reported by AHS linked to an off-campus Health Sciences Orientation Week event on August 27 are now fully recovered and/or have completed their required self-isolation periods. The positive cases were from various health science programs. There have been no additional cases associated with the outbreak. Learn more.
